The STEM Center Welcomes our New 2019 Student Workers!

The SIUE STEM Resource Center welcomes two new student workers for the spring of 2019!

Otavia is currently in her second year of study at SIUE, focusing on criminal justice. She applied for the position with the STEM Center because she has always enjoyed science and wanted a way to stay connected to STEM education and research. While Otavia isn’t studying and working at the Resource Center, she enjoys dancing. She also really loves being a student at SIUE because the faculty and staff have always been helpful and friendly to her.

Blake is a junior computer science major at SIUE. He was interested in working at the STEM Resource Center because he wanted more experience learning science educational materials, he wanted a job that would offer lots of new experiences, and also he believes that some of his work with the STEM Center will translate into experiences for future employment. Although Blake spends most of his time studying, when he gets a little free time, he enjoys playing soccer and video games.

Please join us in welcoming both Otavia and Blake! And feel free to stop by our Resource Center to check out some of our new and latest STEM teaching resources, as well as say hello to our two new student workers!
