The SIUE STEM Center and Environmental Sciences Department are offering a week-long, free Summer Research Academy for local high school students. This is a great opportunity for students interested in STEM and environmental science to conduct original research! Through this research academy, students will investigate how different insect populations react to pesticide treatments. They will collect data, analyze results, and present their findings (interpretations) in a symposium. The Summer Research Academy is free for high school students, and will take place from 9:00 – 3:30, June 17-21. While the academy is free, students will need to provide their own transportation to and from SIUE, as well as lunches or lunch money to purchase food from the MUC.
