STEM Center Guest Speaker Dr. Ebony McGee

The SIUE STEM Center invites all our campus communities to attend the upcoming speaker event. Dr. Ebony McGee, associate professor of diversity and STEM education at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, will be discussing her research on how racialized experiences and racial stereotypes adversely affect the education and career trajectories of underrepresented groups of color.

In Dr. McGee’s new book, Black, Brown, Bruised, McGee advocates for structural and institutional changes to address racial discrimination and hostile environments in an effort to make the STEM field more inclusive.
