Junior Research Academy for the Environment

Junior Research Academy for the Environment

Calling all middle school students in the St. Louis Metro East! Do you want to learn more about your environment and participate in fun, hands-on science? Come be a scientist with us! Working alongside Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) scientists and graduate student researchers, we will collect and explore environmental data that relates to your health like air quality, noise levels, and soil pollutants.

The Junior Research Academy for the Environment at SIUE will host FREE science activities during the 2021-2022 school year. The academy sessions will be held every second Saturday of the month from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm. Free lunch will be provided to participants at 12:00 pm. This Junior Research Academy is free for students thanks to funds from the National Institutes of Health.
