In this video you will learn why archaeologists dig, or excavate, in squares and what archaeologist learn when testing an archaeological site. You will also learn a little about how archaeologists sample an archaeological site, use the Pythagorean Theorem to create an excavation unit, and map using a Cartesian Coordinate system.
