STEM Meets Humanities

STEM Meets Humanities

The STEM Meets Humanities (SMH) program is designed to foster young leaders who will solve the world’s social problems through humanities focused STEM programming. SMH currently provides three major projects to the youth of Madison, Venice, Brooklyn, and Alton, IL. Projects include the Digital Humanities Club, the Math Games League, and Urban Gardening. Future plans include a Robotics program, as well as expanding to additional communities in Madison County. The SMH program is provided in partnership by the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Lewis and Clark Community College, Madison County ROE, school districts, and Madison County Housing Authority. For more information please visit the SMH page on the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities Foundation website.
