It has been an exciting time here at the STEM Center. During the spring, we moved into our new facilities in Science East. After a busy summer of innovative STEM programming and a few furniture deliveries, we are finally up and running for the fall semester in our new location, with new hours and some new faces. This week, we welcome three new student workers: Hanna, Seth, and Justin. Hanna is a sophomore in the SIUE nursing program. She applied to work at the STEM Resource Center because she has always had a passion for science and wants more experience working with a range of students. Seth is majoring in forensic sciences at SIUE. Over this coming semester, Seth is excited to interact with the students, staff, faculty, and area educators who use the STEM Center. Justin, who is pursuing a degree in criminal justice, is looking forward to gaining more experience in customer service and learning more about all the things the STEM Center at SIUE is doing. We are also welcoming back our student worker, Ricky, who is starting his senior year working on his degree in education with a focus on math. We are looking forward to a great semester!
Please feel free to stop by and check out our new space in Science East. The STEM Resource Center will be open from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday or by appointment. The Resource Center is located in Science East room 1276 on the first floor in the 1200 wing. If you are visiting from off campus, metered parking spots are located in Parking Lot A and E.
