Xander is currently pursuing a master’s of science in environmental science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a focus on technology and assessment. His graduate research focuses on fluvial geomorphology and large wood interactions. He obtained a bachelor of science in biological sciences from Lindenwood University and currently works as an analytical chemist analyzing mercury containing environmental samples. His previous experience includes plant tissue culture and plant transformation, agar media preparation, educational labs, environmental sampling, and a hazmat tech. Xander’s work included curriculum development for the STEM Center’s Y-CITYSCI program and he also serves in the Missouri National Guard.
